LHFC School Salmon Hatchery Program Expanding Again

I have been approved to expand our School Program in the fall of 2014 & our 5 New Chillers have arrived from California plus the 1 we needed to get repaired, I'm planning on having 20 or 21 School's running this fall & our Executive has approved to expand to 100 School's over the next 10 years as long as we can find the funding, I currently have enough local Schools to reach our 20 this fall but we have decided to try for 10 more in the Fall of 2015 & I would like to start a Partnership with other Clubs to make this happen, my Goal is to have 100 School's from Windsor to Guelph to Meaford & Tobermory, this is were all of you come in, I'm looking for Volunteers to help spread this Program throughout Southern Ontario or at least Southwestern Ontario, It would mean helping with setting up the Aquarium & Chiller a week or 2 before the Salmon Eggs are delivered, to make sure the Equipment is all running & the Chlorine has evaporated out of the water, after the Eggs hatch there isn't much to do unless there is an Equipment problem until they are ready to start feeding the Salmon, I try to drop in once a week if possible to make sure everything is going alright & take some Video or Pictures for my File & to keep people informed about our successes. The Students & Staff are usually happy to see you & talk about the Program & the Salmon's Progress. A few of the Club's in Grey Bruce Counties are interested in helping out around here just wondering if there is anyone interested in helping run the Program in 1 or 2 of their local school's, maybe you have Kids or Grand Kids that would love the program in their Class or School Library. School's on our waiting list out of our reach are in Guelph, Waterloo, Kitchener, Cambridge, Markdale & Meaford if you are interested.

This Picture was taken after the Students released their Salmon Toured the Lake Huron Fishing Club's Port Elgin Salmon Hatchery & fished for the rest of the afternoon in the Port Elgin stocked pond behind our Hatchery.
